The kids have been begging us for a while to go to Monkey Island. I don't know why we haven't ever gone. So, we took the chance while Grandma and Grandpa were here. We did a lot of walking, a lot of climbing, and even got our toes wet....well, some of us!
Sarushima, Monkey Island in Japanese, is the only natural island in Tokyo Bay. The Tokugawa Shogunate used the island as a battery and then after the Meiji Restoration it was developed into the Yokosuka Navy Yard.

The Love Tunnel. Kris walked by a couple kids in there who were so excited to tell him about the ANCIENT writing on the wall (a lot of losers scraped their names into the walls over the years). "Hey, there is some really old writing in there, like 1984!" |
